JAKARTA - Ahead of the main event on April 22-23, the Ramadan Jazz Festival (RJF) comes with a pre-event to accompany the Jakartans' ngabuburit, which was held at Taman Banteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday (16/4).
The event, which was initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, Ramadan in Jakarta, the Jakarta Experience Board and Islamic Youth at the Cut Meutia Mosque, Jakarta, was held for free.
This afternoon's event opened with the appearance of Risty Tagor who performed a number of songs including his newest song, "Rindu Suara Azan" which was released in early April.
"Hopefully the main event of the Ramadan Jazz Festival will be successful, smooth without any obstacles, and the important thing is that the team is united. And hopefully we can meet in the next Ramadan," said Risty after appearing on stage as quoted by Antara.
The RJF pre-show stage was then filled with the appearance of male soloist Mark Natama. The singer, who graduated from the Indonesian Idol talent search event, performed three songs, namely Tompi's "Menghujam Hatiku", followed by his second single "Terluka Menginginkanmu".
"This song tells about me who failed to move on because of a different religion. After that, together with my brothers, Laleilmanino (Arya Aditya Ramadhya, Ilman Ibrahim, and Anindyo Baskoro) made this song," said Mark.
He then closed his performance with his first single, "Jago Jemburu", which was successful in making the audience sway.
Another male soloist, Diffa Chandra, then joined in continuing the liveliness of the RJF pre-show stage this time. Celebrating the month of fasting, Diffa performed her version of the song "Ramadan Arrives" by Opick, followed by "Careful on the Road" which is one of Tulus' latest songs.
Furthermore, the performance was closed with the first single from Diffa, "O Aku".
The sun was sinking, but the audience was still eagerly waiting for the next performance from female soloist Sivia Azizah.
Sivia performed with the band and performed three songs including "Are You My Valentine" and "Serene" taken from her 2021 EP, "Camellia".
"My performance today can be said to be a warm-up before appearing at the main event of the Ramadan Jazz Festival on April 22-23," said Sivia.
The singer who graduated from the BLINK idol group then invited the audience to dance through his energetic song, "Love Spells".
The sky is turning orange more and more, matching the guitar strings and the sound of male soloist Nadhif Basalamah.
Nadhif succeeded in bringing the audience to enjoy the story of Nadhif's songs, namely "Spaces", "Letting Go", "to be with me", and "After School Sad Session" which is one of the theme songs in the film "Teman Tapi Menikah 2" ( 2020).
This Ramadan Jazz Festival pre-show mini concert was then closed with the appearance of male soloist Teddy Adhitya.
"I'll have a full band later on the 22nd, don't forget to come, okay?" said Teddy after performing his songs including "My Favorite Sky" and "Wonderland".
