Special Task Force: There Are 36 COVID-19 Patients At RSKI Galang Remaining

TANJUNGPINANG - The Special Task Force for Handling Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) said the number of COVID-19 patients at the Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI), Batam, Riau Islands, now remains at 36 people.

"There were no additional patients who entered the Galang Hospital during the past day. Meanwhile, 12 patients were allowed to leave," said the Commander of the Special Task Force for Handling PMI Brigadier General Jimmy Ramoz Manalu, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 16.

According to him, currently the bed occupancy/density of COVID-19 patients at the Galang Hospital is 7.83 percent or 36 beds are filled out of a total of 460 available beds.

A total of 36 beds of COVID-19 patients were all PMI, consisting of 28 men and 8 women.

"In general, the condition of RSKI Galang is in a safe and controlled condition without any other prominent things," he said.

The Commander of Korem 033/Wira Pratama also appealed to all elements of society to continue to support the COVID-19 handling program, by increasing the discipline of health protocols and following the complete dose vaccination program to boosters.

"With the support of the entire community, Riau Islands is currently ready to enter the endemic phase of COVID-19, as the booster vaccine reaches 40 percent," he emphasized.

Based on data from the Riau Islands COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the achievement of local area vaccinations for the first dose was 1.7 million people or 97 percent, the second dose was 1.4 million people or 82 percent, and the third dose/booster was 479 thousand people or 34 percent of the target. as many as 1.4 million people.
