Reviewing Preparations For Homecoming On The Trans Sumatra TOL, Minister Of PUPR Basuki Asks For Additional Public Facilities In Rest Areas
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono reviewed the readiness of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) ahead of the Eid homecoming 1443 Hijriah.
Based on observations on Friday, Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, together with his entourage, immediately carried out a check by starting from the Kota Baru Bandarlampung Toll Gate to Terbanggibesar, Pematang Panggang and Kayu Agung.
Then, the Minister of PUPR and his entourage stopped at rest area 87 A and saw the preparations at that location by talking to the manager of the Hutama Karya Toll Road to complete the needs in the rest area before going home.
"The toilets were added because it was feared that there would be a build-up and queues of travelers wanting to shower, wash, and latrine (MCK)," said the Minister of PUPR.
In addition, Basuki Hadimuljono asked PT HK to build a prayer facility (Musola) in the rest area of KM 116 A as well as a health post even though it is a temporary building.
During his review at the JTTS, Minister Basuki also checked a number of toll road points in the Terbanggibesar-Pematang Panggang and Kayu Agung sections which were undergoing repairs, one of which was at KM 173.
