Again, The Case Of Hoarding Subsidized Solar, This Time In Cilacap Involves 3,200 Liters
JAKARTA - The police have uncovered a case of suspected hoarding of subsidized diesel fuel in a company warehouse in Cilacap Regency, Central Java.
Director of the Central Java Police Special Criminal Investigations, Police Commissioner Johanson Simamora, in a press release in Semarang, Friday, said the disclosure began when officers detained a truck at a gas station in Jeruklegi, Cilacap Regency.
The wooden truck that has been modified with a tarpaulin-covered storage tank is known to carry 1,000 liters of subsidized diesel.
The officers then arrested the truck driver with the initials A (37) from Cilacap Regency for questioning. "From the truck driver's statement, the diesel is planned to be taken to a warehouse owned by PT SJE," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 15.
The police then checked the warehouse in question and found dozens of diesel tanks with a capacity of 1,000 liters each.
Meanwhile, in the warehouse itself, there were three storage tanks with a total amount of diesel fuel stored as much as 2,200 liters. "In this disclosure a total of 3,200 liters of subsidized diesel were secured," he said.
The police also detained one of the warehouse officers with the initials R (35).
He stated that in this alleged crime there was a violation of Law No. 22/2001 on Oil and Gas. The police are still investigating the involvement of other actors in this misuse of subsidized fuel oil distribution.
