Coordinating Minister Airlangga: Synergy Between DKI Musrenbang And Central Government To Help National Economic Growth

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto hopes that DKI Jakarta Province will participate in increasing economic growth nationally.

According to Airlangga, DKI Province has the potential to participate in attracting economic growth, especially in Java. This is because DKI Jakarta has the highest fiscal facilities and capacity nationally.

Airlangga said that the Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbangt) of the 2023 DKI Jakarta Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) could synergize with programs from the central government to increase economic growth.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga emphasized that the synergy between the central government and regional governments along with other stakeholders to control the pandemic has made Indonesia have a good economic foundation.

Moreover, DKI Jakarta is one of the provinces that is considered successful in handling the pandemic well. According to Airlangga, the national economy managed to grow by 3.69 percent (yoy) in 2021.

This strengthens the momentum of national economic recovery, which makes Indonesia one of the countries whose economic recovery has reached pre-pandemic levels.

"Income per capita, which had fallen, can now return to USD 4,350. Signals of recovery can also be seen from various indexes in various regions," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga when giving a speech at the 2023 DKI Jakarta RKPD Musrenbang activity, Thursday, April 14.

The General Chair of the Golkar Party added that Indonesia is currently one of the countries that can return to an upper middle income country.

Indonesia also has the potential to get income from commodity exports. This is because several commodity prices continue to rise, such as coal, copper, natural gas, CPO, and nickel.

Airlangga emphasized that the central government is trying to maintain the momentum of economic recovery by continuing to provide economic stimulus through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program.

For this year, the PEN budget allocation reached Rp 455.62 trillion. The PEN program is divided into several fields, namely, health with a budget allocation of Rp 122.5 trillion, public protection of Rp 154.8 trillion, and strengthening economic recovery amounting to Rp 178.3 trillion.

The chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) added, specifically starting this year's Ramadan, the government has launched social protection due to rising cooking oil prices. Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Cooking Oil is given for three months in the amount of IDR 100 thousand per month for each recipient.

"Given for three months at a time in the amount of Rp. 300 thousand. The assistance was given to more than 20 million people. Coupled with the BT-PKLWN which is distributed to 2.5 million people," said Airlangga.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga said that regional digitization is expected to continue to be improved because electronification contributes to the increase in PAD by 11.1 percent (yoy).

According to him, there was an average PAD increase of up to 14 percent from the nine regions participating in the pilot project of the regional digital acceleration and expansion program.

"The government will continue the capital assistance program, namely Banpres for micro businesses targeted at 12.8 million people," said Airlangga.
