Targeting 100 Percent Of Persons With Disabilities To Have Population Documents, Ministry Of Home Affairs Is Ready To Pick Up The Ball Home

LAMPUNG - The Director General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, said his party was accelerating the registration of population documents. He targets that 100 percent of people with disabilities in Indonesia will obtain a residence document.

"The launch of the socialization and movement for recording population documents throughout Sumatra for people with disabilities is a form of support for people with disabilities to get equal rights," said Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, in Bandarlampung, Thursday, April 14.

He said, it is targeted that after this socialization all persons with disabilities nationally or in Lampung can have a population document.

"It is targeted that 100 percent of people with disabilities have population documents from Bandar Lampung to Aceh to all over Indonesia, so we open access as widely as possible so that all of them are recorded," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to him, if there are persons with disabilities who do not yet have a residence document, they can directly contact the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) to do the registration.

"If anyone does not have a residence document, immediately contact the local Disdukcapil so that the ball will be picked up later at school or at home," he said.

He continued, in the administration of population documents, everything was done free of charge. "All registration and administration of population documents is free. If anyone asks for a document fee, please report it to us. This is because it aims to remind the public of services," he added.

According to data from the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Management Information System for Persons with Disabilities (SIMPD) until January 2021, the number of people with disabilities recorded was 209,604 people.
