Man Who Shouted 'Ade Armando Is Dead' Arrested, Invites Residents To Descend To Demo Location 11 April
JAKARTA - Police not only arrested the perpetrators of beating Ade Armando. The provocateur behind the beating, named Arif Ferdini, has also been arrested.
"In addition to the main perpetrators of beatings and beatings, there is one other perpetrator apart from these six that we have arrested, in the name of Arif Ferdini," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Wednesday, April 13.
The provocateur of this beating was arrested in the Jakarta area. He was a provocateur for delivering a statement that Ade Armando had died in a videotape.
Then, he invited other people to come down to the location of the action. The reason was that he and several other people were shot at by the police who were on guard around the location of the demonstration.
"This is seen in the video circulating on social media, the person concerned made provocations, including issuing the words 'Ade Armando is dead'," said Zulpan.
Currently, Arif is still undergoing examination. Investigators will explore various things including the motive behind the beatings and the making of the provocative video.
"We are securing the person concerned and being investigated," said Zulpan.
For information, in the case of Ade Armando's rape, the police have arrested three suspects. They include Dhia Ul Haq, Muhammad Bagja and Komar.
Thus, there are still three other suspects who are still at large. They include Ade Purnama, Abdul Manaf, and Abdul Latif.
Meanwhile, Ade Armando was the victim of a beating during a student demonstration in the area of the Indonesian Parliament Building on April 11. The motive behind the beating is not yet known.
