BPOM Ensures Takjil In Mukomuko Is Free Of Formalin, Rodamin And Borax, Safe To Consume
BENGKULU - The Drug and Food Supervisory Agency (BPOM) of Bengkulu Province has ensured that the takjil sold by traders at the Pebukoan center in Pasar Mukomuko Village, Mukomuko Regency is safe for consumption.
"We carry out inspections to ensure the safety of takjil consumed by the public, and God willing, takjil in this area is safe," said Head of BPOM Bengkulu, Yogi Abaso Mataram at Mukomuko, Antara, Monday, April 11.
BPOM Bengkulu Province held supervision and inspection of takjil at the roundabout of Pasar Mukomuko Village, Mukomuko Regency, to ensure the safety of takjil consumed by people in this area.
BPOM cooperates with the Health Office, Disperindag, and the regent in supervising the iftar takjil at the roundabout of Pasar Mukomuko Village, Mukomuko City District.
He said that this is a routine activity, and usually during the month of Ramadan and before Eid. This activity is in order to ensure that the takjil consumed by the public is free from the harmful ingredients of formaldehyde, rhythm, and borax.
BPOM Bengkulu in addition to carrying out supervision, including examination of takjil so that the results of the examination can be known immediately.
"We bring a laboratory car. We buy takjil then we check and the results can be known immediately," he said.
Then BPOM Bengkulu in addition to supervising and examining takjil at the center of the bookstore in the Mukomuko City District, including in Penarik District and Ipuh District.
Regent Mukomuko Sapuan expressed his gratitude to BPOM. What BPOM does is help local governments to determine home products and MSMEs in this area and the results of inspections of food sold by traders are not dangerous.
"This is what we want so that the food sold during Ramadan is safe from hazardous materials," he said.
He told local residents not to hesitate and worry about buying food sold by traders that was safe for consumption.
