Provincial Government Holds Free Homecoming For Jakarta Residents To These Five Provinces
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the DKI Provincial Government is again providing free homecoming for this year's Eid for people who return to their hometowns from Jakarta.
"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated a budget for this year to provide free buses," said Syafrin at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, April 11.
Syafrin said that his party provided hundreds of interprovincial intercity buses (AKAP) for this free homecoming. In detail, as many as 292 buses will depart on the homecoming flow and 200 buses to pick up travelers back to Jakarta on the return flow.
There are five destination provinces that are facilitated in this free homecoming activity. Three provinces on the island of Java and two on the island of Sumatra.
"There are five provinces that will later become destinations for the homecoming flow of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Starting from South Sumatra, then Lampung, then Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, and also East Java," said Syafrin.
Syafrin said, residents who want to get this free homecoming facility can register online through the official website of the DKI Transportation Agency which will be informed later. One of the requirements is to have a DKI Jakarta ID card.
"Because the homecomers registration will be opened online, later the requirements will be submitted. Currently, the requirements are being compiled," said Syafrin.
The DKI Dishub has also prepared assistance trucks. This truck will transport the motorbikes of homecomers who follow the free homecoming. They, continued Syafrin, could return to Jakarta using their private vehicles.
"So, we have prepared truck assistance to transport two-wheelers for travelers who return home on two-wheelers. At the time of the homecoming flow, there were 22 trucks, then 9 trucks returned. So, in total, we mobilized 31 trucks for the homecoming and return flows this year," he added.
