Two Armed Robbers In Tangerang Take Off 16 Karat Gold
TANGERANG - Two robbers burglarized the contents of a gold shop in the Kuta Bumi residential area, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency on Sunday evening, April 10, taking away 0.5 kilograms or 16 carats of gold.
"Approximately 0.5 kilograms of 16-carat gold, or around IDR 350 million, was brought by the robbers," said Tangerang Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol, Zain Dwi Nugroho in Tangerang, Monday, April 11.
The two robbers were suspected of using firearms to carry out the crime.
The perpetrators also injured one security person with a shot in the left thigh and the victim is currently being treated at a nearby hospital.
"The security victim was shot in the thigh while trying to dispel the perpetrators," he said, quoted by Antara.
He explained the chronology of the incident when the victim was a gold shop employee who was waiting for the sale. Then, a man came who took out a gun and shot straight at the storefront window.
"The perpetrator fired several shots, then when the glass barrier was broken, the perpetrator immediately took several gold men who were in that place. After shooting the security guard, the perpetrator immediately fled," he explained.
He revealed that at this time his party was still investigating the robbery case by conducting a crime scene (TKP) and existing witnesses.
"We will continue to investigate the case, examine witnesses and conduct investigations to track down the perpetrators," he said.
