Having Fun Hanging Out While Lying Down, 8 PMKS Netted By Mampang Satpol PP Raids
JAKARTA - The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Mampang Prapatan conducted raids on Persons with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) at a number of points, Friday evening, April 8, WIB. The targets in the raids included silver people, ondel-ondel to commercial sex workers (PSK).
Head of the Mampang Prapatan Police, Widodo Sulistyo, said eight PMKS were secured. They were found while sleeping and hanging out, but a few managed to escape.
"Friday night we secured them. Some of them were hanging out, lying down. Then there were also those who ran to see us," Widodo said when confirmed, April 9.
Widodo said that before the PMKS were handed over to the Social Service, they had an antigen swab done. This is to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"We take them to the hospital for an antigen swab test. If they are reactive, we will return them to the family, if they are negative, we will send them to the social service," he concluded.
Previously, the same raid was also carried out by the West Jakarta Satpol PP and intensified PMKS raids during Ramadan. Head of West Jakarta Satpol PP Tamo Sijabat, control of beggars, homeless people, commercial sex workers (PSK), and transgender women will be held regularly.
"So that this month of Ramadan runs smoothly. So that there are no homeless people and beggars, at least a little. For sex workers, let them not go wild," said Tamo in West Jakarta, Wednesday, April 6.
