Affirming Formula E Interpellation Continues, Head Of DKI DPRD: We Just Want To Know Commitment Fee
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, confirmed that his party would resume the Formula E interpellation process which was previously delayed.
This was disclosed by Prasetyo after the decision of the Honorary Board of the DKI DPRD that Prasetyo did not violate the board's ethics when holding the Formula E interpellation plenary meeting on September 28, 2021.
"Considering that the Honorary Board has issued a decision that I have not been proven to have violated the DPRD's rules and code of ethics in granting the interpellation right, then I will return to carrying out my supervisory function in organizing the electric car race," said Prasetyo, quoted from Prasetyoedimarsudi's Instagram account, Friday, 8 April.
This PDIP politician explained that interpellation is the right to ask legislators on regional head policies that have a broad impact in the community.
Therefore, in the interpellation proposed by PDIP and PSI, the DPRD will question the details of the use of the commitment fee of Rp. 560 billion which is sourced from the DKI Regional Budget.
"In this case, we at the DKI Jakarta DPRD only want to know about the disbursement of the APBD worth Rp. 560 billion for the payment of the commitment fee to Formula E Operation (FEO)," said Prasetyo.
Similarly, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gembong Warsono, explained the importance of the public knowing the use of the regional budget for the electric car racing event.
Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government and PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD must open the use of the APBD for Formula E.
"We want to open up more in budget transparency and so on. Because this is people's money, right. At this time (using) people's money, it can't be stealth like this. Because we have disbursed the money to Jakpro, it's as if Jakpro does it arbitrarily, right? That's okay too. This is what we want to know more deeply, "explained Gembong.
Furthermore, Gembong said that PDIP would again encourage the leadership of the DPRD to immediately schedule a meeting of the Deliberative Body (Bamus) next week. The Bamus meeting will schedule the continuation of the Formula E interpellation plenary meeting.
