Police Will Disband April 11 Demonstration 'Demand Jokowi Down' If They Don't Have Permits
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has stated that it will disband a demonstration on behalf of students on Monday, April 11, if the protest does not have a permit.
"This demonstration that does not get permission or a police report can be disbanded," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Friday, April 8.
The disbandment of unauthorized demonstrations is in accordance with Article 15 of Law No. 9 of 1998.
Therefore, Zulpan asked any group that wants to hold a demonstration to coordinate with the Polda Metro Jaya. So, from a security standpoint, it will work again.
"The police will even provide services to the community when the community submits it to the police," he said. In addition, Zulpan also appealed to the public to carry out religious activities in Ramadan with useful things. Instead of participating in useless actions.
"It would be nice in this blessed month we fill it with religious activities to increase our worship to Allah SWT," he said.
"Compared to useless activities, especially these activities which did not get permission from the police because there was no notification," he continued.
