Vice President Ma'ruf Amin To Launch Gernas BBI In Bukittinggi
BUKITTINGGI - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is scheduled to launch a campaign program for the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra Province.
The Mayor of Bukittinggi, Erman Safar, said that he accompanied Vice President Ma'ruf in the launch of the program, including Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.
"Alhamdulillah, the City of Bukittinggi was appointed as the host to launch a proud campaign using halal and locally made Indonesian products. We have held a meeting with the OJK (Financial Services Authority) and banks to welcome the arrival of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjahitan and Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno," said Erman Safar in Bukittinggi, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 7.
According to him, the planned visit will be held on Tuesday (12/4). Erman expressed his pride that the City of Bukittinggi was appointed as the host for the national program.
The series of activities is scheduled to be centered at Jam Gadang, involving hundreds of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). In addition, at the same time there will also be several Government programs that will be socialized to the local community.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Trade Office of Bukittinggi, Wahyu Bestari, added that the vice president is scheduled to review trading locations in Pasa Ateh and Pasa Pabukoan.
"God willing, the Vice President and his entourage will directly observe the trading activities around Jam Gadang and Pasar Atas, hopefully Bukittinggi will be successful in holding this event," he said.
Ma'ruf Amin's arrival to Bukittinggi will be his first visit since serving as the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.
