West Lombok Intensifies COVID Booster Vaccine Outreach For Ease Of Homecoming For Eid
LOMBOK - The Resort Police of West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, together with the local government are intensifying socialization to the public so that they can carry out the third COVID-19 vaccination for the convenience of going home for Eid.
"The booster vaccine or the third dose of vaccine, apart from health, is also useful for traveling back and forth for Eid al-Fitr," said Head of the West Lombok Police Community Development Unit, AKP Wahyu Indrawan, in West Lombok Regency, Antara, Tuesday, April 5.
According to him, by having a certificate of the third dose of vaccine, of course, there is no need for a rapid test certificate anymore as a condition for traveling back and forth.
Wahyu said his party carried out socialization in crowded centers, such as traditional markets in West Lombok Regency.
Officers give advice to residents using loudspeakers about the importance of complementary vaccines and staying disciplined with COVID-19 health protocols.
"Today we are targeting people who are active in Gerung Traditional Market," he said.
Meanwhile, West Lombok Regent H Fauzan Khalid said his party had held a COVID-19 vaccination celebration for people with disabilities, mosque imams and the elderly (elderly).
The activity, which aims to increase the number of targets who have received complementary vaccines, will be carried out on March 28, 2022 or ahead of Ramadan 1443 Hijriah.
"The West Lombok Regency Government together with the TNI-Polri have indeed targeted persons with disabilities who have entered the third dose of vaccination as targets," he said.
For vaccination achievements, he said, 92 percent of the population had received the first dose of vaccine manually, while 85 percent for the second dose. Meanwhile, the number of residents who have been given complementary vaccines has only touched 15 percent.
