LPMM Survey Results: Airlangga Hartarto Wins As Presidential Candidate Defeating Prabowo And Ganjar

JAKARTA - The General Chair of the Golkar Party's DPP, Airlangga Hartarto, has become the most chosen candidate when faced with a simulation of two presidential candidates and three 2024 presidential candidates.

In the Millennium Community Research Institute (LPMM) survey, simulating two names, Airlangga outperformed the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.

LPMM Research Coordinator Alamsyah Wijaya said that in the head to head simulation of Airlangga and Prabowo, the Golkar chairman had electability to outperform the Gerindra chairman.

"A closed question by simulating the names of two head to head presidential candidates between Airlangga vs Prabowo Subianto, 48.7 percent chose Airlangga and 36.7 percent chose Prabowo. While 13.9 percent did not answer, "Alamsyah said in the release of the LPMM survey results, in official statement, Monday, April 4.

Alamsyah added that in the simulation of three presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo vs Airlangga vs Prabowo, the name of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs was still chosen the most.

"A total of 31.7 percent chose Ganjar Pranowo, 38.4 percent chose Airlangga, and 26.7 percent chose Prabowo, while 3.2 percent did not answer," said Alamsyah.

Alamsyah admitted that Airlangga's electability was indeed the highest in the survey held by LMPP for the period 19-31 March 2022. He said that in the simulation of open and closed questions, the General Chairperson of Golkar was chosen by a maximum of 2,200 respondents throughout Indonesia.

In open-ended questions, Airlangga's electability is at the top with 18.3 percent. Prabowo Subianto took the second position with 16.5 percent, followed by Ganjar (14.1 percent) and Puan Maharani (5.1 percent).

Meanwhile, in a closed-ended question simulation using 16 names of figures, Airlangga remained at the top with 21.7 percent, followed by Prabowo (17.6 percent), Ganjar (16.4 percent), and Puan Maharani 5.1 percent).

Airlangga's electability was also followed by the electability of the Golkar Party, which outperformed other parties in this survey. Alamsyah said that through open-ended question simulations, Golkar was in first place with 14.8 percent electability. PDIP is in second place with 14.2 percent, followed by Gerindra with 13.9 percent.

Still from the same survey, the party's popularity with the banyan tree symbol skyrocketed through closed-question simulation.

"The highest electability of the Golkar Party was chosen by 20.7 percent of respondents," said Alamsyah.

Meanwhile, in second place was PDIP with 18.2 percent and Gerindra with 17.9 percent. Alamsyah added that this survey has a margin of error of +/- 2.12 percent with a 95 percent confidence level. The survey was conducted by telephone interview.
