Police Investigate The Theft Of IDR 35 Million In The Luggage Of A Lion Air Plane From Jambi To Jakarta

JAMBI - The Jambi Police Criminal Investigation Team is still investigating the case of the theft of money in the baggage belonging to a passenger from Jambi who flew on a Lion Air plane. The plane departed from Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Airport in Jambi to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

"What is clear is that we are still investigating the case because it is still in the process of being investigated by members in the field to reveal it," said Jambi Police Chief Kombes Eko Wahyudi, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 2.

Previously, Rusdi Caniago, a victim who lost money worth Rp. 35 million in a bag in the baggage of a Lion Air plane on a flight from Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Airport to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Thursday (24/3). The victim reported the case to the police.

Caniago (45), a resident of Jambi, stated that initially he and his friends departed from Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Airport for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport using a Lion Air plane with flight code JT601.

"When I arrived at Sultan Thaha Saipuddin Airport, the bag I was carrying containing Rp. 35 million was put into the plane's baggage and after arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, I was reminded to check the contents of the bag which contained money, whether the money was still there," he said. he.

"However, when I arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, I became suspicious and I checked that the money in the bag worth Rp. 35 million was no longer there and immediately reported it to the police at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the officers immediately checked the surveillance cameras at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. However, it didn't work out," he said.

According to him, this case is handled by the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police. The perpetrator is said to have been arrested.

"The perpetrator has been detained who is a Jambi person," he said.
