Paragliding Athlete Dies Falling Into Residents' House During Practice In Banyubiru, Semarang

SEMARANG - Paragliding athlete Yazid Khairil Azis reportedly died from a fall while practicing in the Banyubiru area, Semarang Regency, Central Java.

The Head of the Semarang Regency Tourism Office, Heru Subroto, confirmed the unfortunate incident that killed the athlete who was practicing.

"The information is that it fell from a height of about 200 meters," said Heru, as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 1.

Heru admitted that he was present at the funeral ceremony of the victim.

Meanwhile, from the information gathered, the incident began when the victim was practicing with four of his colleagues.

The five of them started at the peak of Mount Gajah, Nogosaren Village, Getasan, Semarang Regency.

The five of them managed to take off from the starting point and plan to land in Muncul Village, Banyibiru, Semarang Regency.

When they arrived at the landing point, the victim who took off last was thought to have fallen from his paragliding.

The victim who failed to land fell on top of a resident's house in Gedong Village, Banyubiru, Semarang Regency.
