COVID-19 Update As Of April 1st: 2,390 New Cases, 100,746 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 116,449 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 2,390 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,015,748 and active cases have fallen by 6,181 to 100,746 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, April 1.

Today's recovered cases increased by 9,036 people, bringing the total to 5,759,838 recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 75 cases and the total was 155,264 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 649 cases and a total of 1,099,425 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 641 new cases with a total of 1,238,377 cases. Central Java has 281 new cases and a total of 624,142 cases. Banten has 264 new cases and a total of 289,460 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 2,324 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 2,158 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,070 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 513 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 92,077,404.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 5.51 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 5,214 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, there are currently 196,719,100 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 159,686,492 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 23,104,251. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
