Anies Baswedan's Office Limits Karaoke Operational Hours, Closes At 9 PM
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office has limited the operating hours of karaoke places. Can open at 14.00 and must close at 21.00 WIB during Ramadan this year.

The regulation is contained in the Circular Letter of the DKI Parekraf Service Number e-0001/2022 which was issued this Friday.
In that provision, bar businesses that stand alone and that are part of karaoke business facilities and live music are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages during Ramadan.
This rule is exempted for businesses that are carried out in conjunction with a hotel arena of at least four stars.
In addition, the circular also prohibits certain types of businesses, namely karaoke and restaurants operating at night, from 18.00 to 00.00 WIB, to close the day before entering Ramadan.
In addition to the day before Ramadan, the business must also close the day before Eid or on the night of takbiran. Then the first and second day of Eid and the night of Nuzulul Quran.
It also prohibits tourism businesses from placing billboards or posters containing pornographic, pornographic or erotic elements.
If it violates, it will give administrative sanctions in the form of a first to third written warning, a proposed temporary suspension of tourism business registration and a Tourism Business Registration Certificate (TDUP). Then, the proposed cancellation of the TDUP and the revocation of the TDUP.
