Food Needs Increase Ahead Of Ramadan, Anies: Anticipated…
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admits that he is not worried about the increasing need for food ahead of the month of Ramadan. Because, his party has anticipated the increase in food demand.
Anies admitted that he had anticipated the problem by cooperating with three Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Dharma Jaya, and Pasar Jaya to monitor food availability.
According to Anies, the three BUMDs have made preparations so that prices and stocks of the targeted commodities remain stable during the month of Ramadan.
"These three (BUMD) are working to stabilize the supply of basic needs in Jakarta. So Alhamdulillah, all of them have anticipated it," said Anies in Cakung, East Jakarta, Sunday, March 27.
The former Minister of Education and Culture said that the increasing need for food during the month of Ramadan is a cycle that always occurs every year. Therefore, preparations have been made long ago.
"So their supply has been prepared, we will continue to monitor it and friends can also use IPJ, Jakarta's food information," he explained.
Anies explained that the IPJ application could be used as a reference in determining food prices for all commodities. Therefore, residents of the Capital City are advised to download and use it.
"Therefore, housewives in Jakarta for basic needs at affordable prices in Jakarta, look at the IPJ. We will know the average price in Jakarta," he said.
