Police Investigated, Bulk Cooking Oil Price In Denpasar Is IDR 15,500 Per Kilogram

JAKARTA - Denpasar Police Chief AKBP Bambang Yugo Pamungkas during an inspection of a trading business on Jalan Mahendradatta, Denpasar. In its implementation, Bambang asked the cooking oil traders not to sell more than the highest retail price (HET).

"We check the availability of cooking oil from distribution to sub-distribution to consumers or customers, especially bulk cooking oil circulating in the market, so that it is in accordance with the highest retail price (HET) and does not exceed the rules," Yugo said in a statement quoted by Antara, Sunday 27 March.

For people who will resell, they must comply with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) Number 11 of 2022, namely selling at a HET price of Rp. 15,500 per kg or Rp. 14,000 per liter, according to the price determined by the Government.

He asked the entire community to jointly secure the distribution of bulk cooking oil from upstream to downstream, because this commodity is a necessity. He also appealed to the public not to over-buy cooking oil or panic buying.

"Let's take care together so that there is no panic, because this inspection activity (sudden inspection) will continue to be carried out by the Food Task Force, to oversee the distribution of bulk cooking oil and ensure it has reached the community," he explained.

He added that the distribution of cooking oil in a number of trading businesses in the Denpasar Police jurisdiction went well, with a selling price of Rp. 15,150 per kilogram, which was then sold to consumers at a price of Rp. 15,500 per kilogram.
