Election Plan To Use E-Voting, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo: Tick, Vote, Digital Is The Same

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo also responded to the plan to use the e-voting system in the general election. Ganjar believes that all ways can be done, the most important thing is trust.

This was stated by Ganjar, after inaugurating the Bali Kagama Studio and discussing with the Balinese community and social activists, Saturday, March 26. According to Ganjar, the use of the e-voting system is only a matter of whether you want to or not.

"Actually, if we want to vote, we want to check whether we trust or not, we have voted, we have changed ticks, we have voted again, right. This is just a matter of trust," said Ganjar in his written statement, Saturday, March 26.

In some areas, Ganjar said, some have tried the e-voting system. Ganjar gave an example of village head elections in Bali using the e-voting system.

"So that means it's just a matter of trust. When trust becomes a decision, it's just a matter of preparing the infrastructure and maintaining the system," he said.

While preparing, Ganjar continued, the government can cooperate with experts to do research. Is it possible to do e-voting or not? Moreover, said Ganjar, Indonesia consists of various differences.

"Well, it's just a matter of intention. If the intention is really to vote by voting, yes, voting, those who like ticking ticks, those who use e-voting, e-voting, why not. Why do we have to be one, we are different, "he said.

Ganjar said that the election method only needed a sense of trust. In line with that belief, said Ganjar, the infrastructure can be prepared.

"It's not a matter of agreeing or not, we believe it or not. Some (the infrastructure) can be ready, some are not. So when it comes to choosing, we just need to push it, in my opinion, it doesn't have to be uniform, "he said.
