MATARAM - Police officers have revealed the results of an autopsy on the body of a woman with the initials M who was the victim of a murder at her home in Labuapi, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.
West Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Intu I Made Dharma said from the forensic doctor's statement it was confirmed that the victim died from bleeding.
"So it was concluded that the victim died from bleeding. It was marked by stab wounds in the neck and middle (chest) that hit the ribs," Dharma said as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 25.
The autopsy of M's body was carried out at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram, Wednesday (23/3), based on the approval of the victim's family.
"After the autopsy, the body was immediately buried by the family," he said.
With the results of this autopsy, the police obtained additional evidence in the case of the alleged murder previously accused of the victim's ex-husband with the initials R (71).
"With the results of this autopsy, it strengthens us to determine R as a suspect suspected of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder," he said.
In this case, R suffered a cut in the neck. It is suspected that the wound was caused by him who tried to commit suicide after killing his ex-wife.
Regarding the condition of R, who suffered a cut, it is now starting to improve. The police provide medical treatment to R at Bhayangkara Hospital Mataram.
"His condition has improved and is still being treated. But we have had time to ask for information. He admitted his actions," said Dharma.
While being treated at the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital, Dharma ensured that R, who had been named a suspect, remained under the supervision of his members.
"Even though he is a suspect, we want to make sure his health condition improves. There are already members who are monitoring him at the hospital," he said.
This murder case was revealed from public information on Monday (21/3) night, regarding the discovery of the body of the victim with the initials M in his house covered in blood.
Dharma with his members and the Inafis Team went directly to the location where the 50-year-old woman's body was found at her home, in Datar Hamlet, Bengkel Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency.
Dharma said that his party had interrogated a number of witnesses who found and were in the vicinity of the location.
From the testimony of witnesses in the field, it was found that the modus and motive for the alleged murder of his ex-wife. The suspect's motive for killing his ex-wife was because he was jealous after finding out that his wife wanted to remarry.
"The latest motive is due to installment debt. The perpetrator feels that he does not accept to bear the burden of debt alone. So the two motives that arise are jealousy and debt," he said.
The perpetrators carried out their actions by entering the victim's house secretly without the knowledge of the residents and the victim. The perpetrator entered the victim's house through the roof.
