Lost Mountaineer Arjuno Found Safe
MALANG - Muhammad Niam Kurniawan, a climber from Pandaan, Pasuruan Regency, East Java who was reported missing on Mount Arjuno, has been found.
The pendali was found by residents in the Sriti Curah area, on the southern slopes of the mountain. After being found, the climber was treated at a resident's house in Sumbul Hamlet, Klampok Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency.
The news of this discovery circulated on a number of social media complete with photos of survivors. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Singosari Police, Iptu Aska, confirmed the information that the climber had been found.
"Yes, that's right, residents have found the missing climber on Mount Arjuno," he said, Wednesday, March 23.
When found, the climber was in a limp condition. This climber has survived 4 days since being reported missing on Saturday, March 19.
"Currently, he has been taken to Marsudi Waluyo Hospital for treatment," said Aska.
