GNPF Ulama Chairman Reports Pastor Saifuddin Ibrahim: Alhamdulillah The Police Have Processed, Pursued Everywhere

JAKARTA - The National Fatwa Guard Movement (GNPF) reported Saifuddin Ibrahim alias Abraham Ben Moses to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The report relates to allegations of blasphemy following his statement asking the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas to delete 300 verses of the Qur'an.

"Today I report to Pastor Saifuddin Ibrahim, regarding the blasphemy and blasphemy of Islam, which has been carried out many times and endlessly insults religion and it is a forbidden act," said GNPF chairman Yusuf Muhammad Martak to reporters, Tuesday, March 22.

Yusuf did not deny that in this case many parties have reported to the police. It is believed that the Police will hunt down the whereabouts of Saifuddin Ibrahim, who is said to be in America.

"That too will be pursued anywhere, because it has gone too far. Even there with his speech he wants the holy book to be changed from the original one. That is not true," said Yusuf.

Yusuf Martak's report is registered with the Report number received with the number LP/B/0138/III/2022/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.

As previously reported, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police cooperated with the FBI to find the whereabouts of Saifuddin Ibrahim alias Abraham Ben Moses. Saifuddin is suspected to be in the United States.

"From the results of the investigation, information was obtained that Saifuddin Ibrahim's brother is currently abroad," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in his statement, Friday, March 18.

In an effort to find the whereabouts of Saifuddin Ibrahim, Bareskrim also coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration to trace his travel history.

"Coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the alleged presence of SI's brother in the United States," said Dedi.

For information, Saifuddin Ibrahim had gone viral on social media because of his statement. He asked the Minister of Religion to delete 300 verses of the Qur'an.

The reason behind his request is because the verses are considered to be the cause of radicalism.
