Not Visiting Anies Baswedan Related To Formula E, KPK Asked The Chairperson Of The DKI DPRD To Be Transparent
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi reminded the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to be transparent in its efforts to investigate allegations of corruption in the implementation of the Formula E racing event.
Moreover, until now, the KPK has not summoned DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for questioning. This request was conveyed by Prasetyo after fulfilling the summons of KPK investigators today, Tuesday, March 22.
"I appeal to the KPK to be transparent and accountable for this Formula E issue," Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 22.
The PDI-P politician explained that he explained a number of things to investigators. One of them is related to the Rp180 billion paid by the DKI Jakarta Education and Sports Agency (Dispora) through a Bank DKI loan. Prasetyo emphasized that the legislators in Jakarta were not aware of the loan.
"Before becoming a Regional Regulation, borrow the Dispora to Bank DKI Rp. 180 billion. That's all the emphasis is there," he said.
During the examination, Prasetyo brought a number of documents. Including, Dispora's letter to the Governor of DKI which was then answered through Governor's Instruction Number 77 of 2019 concerning Support in Preparation for the Implementation of Formula E Activities in 2020.
As previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of Formula E. Several officials have been summoned to investigate the allegations.
They are the Head of the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate, Syaefulloh Hidayat; former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, Dino Pati Djalal; Chairman and Deputy Chairperson of Commission E DPRD DKI, namely Iman Satria and Anggara Wicitra; and Chairman of the DPRD DKI Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.
