Selling Stolen Soap And Hair Oil At Minimarkets, Nanda Confesses To Funding His Mother With ODGJ Status, Police: Restorative Justice

TANGERANG - Nanda Septiansyah (20) was detained at the Jatiuwung Tangerang Police for stealing face wash and hair oil at a mini market on Jalan Nanas, Cibodas.

However, in carrying out the legal process, it seems that the Jatiuwung Police prioritizes Restorative Justice for Nanda.

Jatiuwung Police Chief AKP Stanlly said the perpetrator (Nanda) was forced to carry out the theft to support his mother, who is an Insider with Mental Disorders (ODGJ).

"That in accordance with the statements of the witnesses and the evidence that has been obtained, the complainant/victim withdrew the Police Report (LP). In order to carry out a further investigation process, the investigator carried out Restorative Justice," said Stanlly when confirmed, Tuesday, March 22.

Stanlly said that the incident began when the perpetrator entered the convenience store. At that time, the reporter, William Alfan, suspected that Nanda had taken 2 facial cleansers and 2 hair oils.

"The perpetrator put these items into a red sling bag used by the perpetrator," he said.

After putting it in the bag, Nanda pretended to ask the cashier.

"Pretending to ask for baby powder, then when the perpetrator wanted to leave the shop, the reporter called the perpetrator and then the perpetrator immediately ran outside the store," he explained.

William also chased the perpetrator up to 30 meters from the crime scene (TKP), until finally he was arrested by residents. The perpetrators were then taken into custody at the Jatiuwung Police for further investigation.

"The results of the examination of the perpetrators are suspected that the perpetrators took the goods to be sold and the money from the sales was used by the perpetrators to finance the parents of ODGJ, so the reporter withdrew the report," he said.
