Files On Corruption Of Earthquake Resistant Houses In Lombok Transferred To Prosecutors
MATARAM - Investigators of the Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, have handed over the investigation file of the alleged corruption case of the Earthquake Resistant House (RTG) funds in Sigerongan Village, West Lombok Regency, to the research prosecutor.
"The file is in phase one, so we just have to wait for the results of the prosecutor's investigation," said Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Police Commissioner Kadek Adi Budi Astawa in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 21.
With this progress, Kadek Adi ensured that the evidence supporting the criminal element of corruption in the suspect IN, the Treasurer of the Community Group (Pokmas) of Repok Jati Kuning, had been completed in the case file.
One of the pieces of evidence that corroborates the indications of corruption is the state loss calculated by the Audit Team of the NTB Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of IDR 459 million.
"Although we have completed the formal and material requirements of the case file, we are waiting for the results of the prosecutor's investigation," he said.
In this case, the suspect was not detained because his detention period had ended. however, the police enforce the obligation to report to the suspect.
Cases handled since 2019 were previously hampered by investigators applying Article 8 of Law No. 20/2001 on Amendments to Law No. 31/1999 on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes (Tipikor). However, the prosecutor's instructions requested the application of the article using Article 2 and or Article 3 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption.
"So in accordance with the instructions of the prosecutor, we have delegated this case with the suspicion of Article 2 and or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law," he said.
After the Lombok earthquake that occurred in 2018, Pokmas Jati Kuning, Sigerongan Village, West Lombok Regency, received assistance of Rp. 1.79 billion for 70 families affected by the disaster.
Disbursement is carried out in three stages. The first stage was distributed Rp500 million, the second stage was distributed Rp750 million, and the third stage was distributed Rp90 million.
However, after the disbursement of the budget, a number of recipients did not receive any assistance. It was revealed that the suspect had enjoyed the money. This has hindered the development of the RTG in the region.
