Because of this incident, the match between Everton and Newcastle was disrupted and delayed. The referee who led the game even had to give extra time extraordinarily long.
The referee gave 14 minutes of added time in this match. But the extra time was actually a blessing for the hosts.
Everton managed to break the deadlock. Everton winger Alex Iwobi scored an important goal in the 90+9 minute which changed the scoreboard to 1-0 after utilizing a pass from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

That single goal then lasted until the game ended and made The Toffees declared victorious. This result makes Everton smile with relief because they stay away from the relegation zone.
Now Everton is ranked 17th with a collection of 25 points. That number is only three points adrift of Watford's total points, which are below the relegation threat line.
