Polres-Pekalongan Regency Government Find Thousands Of Liters Of Cooking Oil In The Warehouse
PEKALONGAN - Pekalongan Resort Police (Polres) and the Pekalongan Regency Government, Central Java, found tens of thousands of cooking oil neatly stored in two warehouses owned by distributors.
Pekalongan Police Chief AKBP Arief Fajar Satria said that several warehouses that were investigated such as CV SGT, CV Pelita Hati, and bulk cooking oil agents were found to have stored cooking oil stocks. The reason is that they are still waiting for an announcement from the government regarding the implementation of the new cooking oil price.
"The distribution of this cooking oil will be carried out thoroughly and can be checked at any time. This will all be distributed, especially to shops and the public," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 17.
The cooking oil stored in the two warehouses belongs to distributors CV SGT as much as 4,950 liters and CV Pelita Hati 48 thousand liters.
Overall, the monitoring for the availability of packaged cooking oil in the Pekalongan Regency area is ensured to be safe until Eid 2022.
"The availability of cooking oil in the Pekalongan Regency area is still safe, the price is still stable. This has been confirmed by CV Pelita Hati, which is a distributor of cooking oil," he said.
AKBP Arief said he had ordered all ranks of the sector police (polsek) to carry out surveillance and surprise inspections to ensure the availability of cooking oil in this area.
"We want to ensure the availability of cooking oil and there is no shortage, if it is available the price should not soar too high," he continued.
AKBP Arief emphasized that the daily surveillance carried out by the police will reduce the potential for violations committed by various parties.
"We will continue to give advice to shop owners and market traders so that there is no hoarding of cooking oil because we will carry out regular checks," he said.
Extension officer of the Industry and Trade Office of Pekalongan Regency, Heri, said that the latest regulation for prices based on information from the center will change prices.
"Each producer is calculating the price for the packaging to fall at what price. For the stock of packaged cooking oil, we estimate it is sufficient and safe and starting tomorrow if there is a price provision, it will be distributed immediately," he said.
