Gold Sales Increase, Antam Record Net Profit Of IDR 1.8 Trillion In 2021

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or Antam, a member of the Mining BUMN Holding MIND ID, recorded a positive performance throughout 2021. Antam managed to record a net profit distributed to owners of the parent entity of Rp 1.86 trillion last year.

Antam's net profit recorded an increase of 61.98 percent from the same period in 2020 which amounted to Rp1.14 trillion. The increase in net income also increased the value of net income per share, from the previous Rp47.83 per share, to Rp77.47 per share.

Based on the publication of Antam's financial statements, Wednesday, March 16, the increase in net profit was supported by Antam's sales which increased 40.45 percent year on year (yoy) from Rp27.37 trillion at the end of 2020 to Rp38.44 trillion in the period the same last year.

Antam's sales increase was supported by growth in sales of nickel ore, alumina, ferronickel and gold products. Meanwhile, sales of bauxite ore, silver, coal and other precious metals were recorded to decline in 2021.

In more detail, Antam's largest revenue contribution was still contributed by gold sales worth Rp. 25.94 trillion, up 34.01 percent from the end of December 2020 which was valued at Rp. 19.35 trillion.

Then, ferronickel sales rose 36.46 percent yoy to Rp6.35 trillion. Then, nickel ore sales grew 134.57 percent to 4.38 trillion at the end of December 2021. Meanwhile, alumina sales rose 59.71 percent to Rp931.81 billion.

Furthermore, revenue was also obtained from the sale of bauxite ore of Rp502.80 billion, silver Rp115.55 billion, coal Rp11.75 billion, which recorded a decrease from the previous year of Rp32.71 billion.

Along with the increase in net income, Antam's cost of goods sold also increased by 40.14 percent on an annual basis, from the previous Rp22.89 trillion to Rp32.08 trillion. So that the company posted a gross profit of Rp6.35 trillion in 2021, an increase of 42.10 percent from the end of 2020 worth Rp4.47 trillion.

The company's total assets as of December 31, 2021 were recorded at Rp. 32.91 trillion, an increase of 3.74 percent on an annual basis. These assets consist of liabilities valued at Rp. 12.07 trillion at the end of December 2021, down 4.81 percent from the position at the end of December 2020 of Rp. 12.69 trillion.

Meanwhile, the company's equity recorded an increase of 9.44 percent, from the previous Rp31.72 trillion to Rp32.91 trillion.
