As Many As 4 Lhokseumawe Aceh Residents Died Due To COVID-19
ACEH - The Lhokseumawe City COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) stated that four residents in the area had died due to exposure to COVID since early 2022.
Spokesperson for the Lhokseumawe City COVID-19 Task Force, Marzuki said, since the beginning of 2022, 173 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lhokseumawe City.
"Covid-19 cases have spiked sharply in Lhokseumawe City since the beginning of 2022. In fact, Lhokseumawe City had zero for two months at the end of 2021. To this day, four residents have died from COVID-19 throughout 2022," said Marzuki in Lhokseumawe, Antara, Monday, March 14th.
Of the 173 cases, said Marzuki, as many as 140 people were declared cured. While 29 other people are still undergoing treatment, both in hospitals and their respective homes.
"A total of 29 people are still tested positive for COVID-19 with details of eight people being treated in hospital and 21 people running self-isolation in their respective homes," said Marzuki.
Regarding the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Lhokseumawe, Marzuki reminded the public to continue to apply health protocols and follow vaccinations to build immunity communally.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has not ended. People must remain disciplined in implementing health protocols by always wearing masks, maintaining distance and not crowding," said Marzuki.
