2 Children Drowning In The Tuntang Grobogan River Found Dead
GROBOGAN - The Grobogan BPBD team, Central Java, together with a joint team finally managed to find two children who drowned and were carried away by the water currents up to the Tuntang River, Gubug District, in a dead condition.
"Today's search (11/3) which began at 07.30 WIB involved six boats and one diving equipment," said Head of the Grobogan Regency BPBD Endang Sulistyoningsih as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 11.
The search team, he said, was divided into three zones with divisions, starting from the crime scene area (TKP) to Baturagung Village, then there were those who searched the Gubug Bridge area to Trimulyo Village, as well as in the Trimulyo Village area to Guntur.
As a result, the first victim was found in the name of Erwin (12) in Trimulyo Village at 10.00 WIB. After 30 minutes, the second victim, Novita (8) was found in Trimulyo Village, about 500 meters from the first victim.
The two victims were evacuated to the Getas Pendowo Gubug Hospital for a post-mortem and restoration. Then the body was handed over to the family for burial in the Kemiri Village Public Cemetery, Gubug District, Grobogan.
The chronology of the incident began when two victims named Erwin and Novita from the same village, Gari Village, Wonosari District, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, played on the Tuntang River in Kemiri Village, Gubug District, Grobogan on Tuesday (8/3) at 08.00 WIB.
The two victims came to Grobogan with their parents to visit their sick grandmother in Kemiri Village. Then the victim played and swam with his eight friends in the sewer that flows into the Tuntang River.
According to a number of witnesses, the two victims swam while carrying them. Then the two victims drowned and were carried away by the current until they entered the Tuntang River.
