CIREBON - A student from the State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Mundu, Cirebon Regency, West Java, disappeared in the Flores Sea, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), while returning home after completing his field work practice (PKL) at one of the fishing companies. fish.
"Information that we received, on March 6, 2022 at 08.00 WIB while on the way back to Pati, Central Java (Central Java), one of our cadets fell into the sea," said Head of SMKN 1 Mundu, Cirebon Regency, Ikhwanudin quoted by Antara, Wednesday, 9 March.
According to him, the missing student in the waters of Flores, NTT was named Frans Julius Hutapea, who was following a street vendor at a fishing company from Pati, Central Java.
From the information obtained from the company, Frans fell on Saturday, March 5 at around 19:00 WITA.
In one ship, he said, Frans' victim was not alone, but with 10 other students who were undergoing street vendors.
"We do not know the exact chronology, because communication is very difficult," he said.
He admitted that he had not received any updates on the victim's condition, and hoped that the victim could still be found safe.
According to him, 11 students of SMKN 1 Mundu, left for sailing on June 29, 2021, and should have returned or finished the PKL period on October 5, 2021.
However, due to problems, until March 2022 the 11 students had not yet returned from street vendors, and it was already four months late.
"For street vendors it is usually done for six months, but our 11 students are more than that, because there are problems in the shipping," he said.
"The school will also help the victim's family and send a team to Pati, Central Java, to seek more accurate information," said Ikhwanudin.
