Received A Visit From The General Chairperson Of PB PJSI, Menpora Wants Judo To Perform At The Olympics
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali wants Indonesian judo to appear at the Olympic level.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports when receiving a visit from the General Chair of the All-Indonesian Judo Association (PB PJSI) Maruli Simanjuntak and his staff at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Jakarta, Tuesday.
On that occasion, Menpora asked Maruli to foster judo athletes so that they could appear in this prestigious event. Menpora believes judo under Maruli's leadership can make achievements.
"I'm monitoring the progress of judo, it's really amazing. We convey that judo is a sport that can be relied on at the Olympics," said Menpora Amali as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
“I hope Judo can get up and be more enthusiastic. In addition, I also received a report from PJSI regarding its readiness to face the SEA Games and also held several activities such as the Kasad Cup, "explained the Minister of Youth and Sports.
Maruli welcomed the expectations of the Minister of Youth and Sports. The man who serves as Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad) is optimistic that judo can appear in the Olympics.
"We went to the Minister of Youth and Sports to report the progress of PJSI including the preparation of the SEA Games later. In addition, we also report on preparations for holding a judo championship," said Maruli.
