Police Officer In Tanjungpinang Fired For Involvement In Drugs
TANJUNGPINANG - Tanjungpinang Resort Police, Riau Islands, early 2022 had dismissed a member of the Brigadier Ruli Helmi rank for being involved in a drug crime case.
Tanjungpinang Police Chief, AKBP Fernando said Brigadier Ruli Helmi was convicted and sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Tanjungpinang District Court.
"The case has been Inkracht or has permanent legal force, besides that the person concerned has already undergone the National Police Professional Code of Ethics Session", said AKBP Fernando in Tanjungpinang, Tuesday, March 8.
Fernando conveyed that the dismissal was a firm commitment by the National Police to criminal violations committed by members of the police, especially regarding drug cases.
According to him, the Police have always been under the spotlight of the public regarding their main tasks which are directly related to aspects of community life.

"Therefore, it is emphasized to all Tanjungpinang Police personnel to always maintain ethics, morals, and actions, both in their living environment and when carrying out daily tasks", said the Head of the Resort Police as quoted by Antara.
He ensures that in the future the mental development of National Police members will be further improved, including rewards and punishments that must really be applied professionally.
He advised the personnel to increase their faith and piety to God Almighty, to increase personal discipline, attitude, and behavior to avoid arrogance to become role models for family and society.
"We will increase supervision and control of members in carrying out their duties, and will not hesitate to take firm action against members who violate the law and give awards to outstanding personnel", he said.
