Thousands Of People Deliver The Bodies Of The Kuntet Khalisa Racer To The Cemetery

JAKARTA - Thousands of people helped deliver the body of Kuntet Khalisa, a racer from Kendari City who died after an accident while participating in the race championship in Muna Regency, last Sunday.

Quoted from Antara, Monday, the funeral procession was seen after the deceased had finished praying at the Kendari Grand Mosque, not far from the funeral home on Jalan Diponegoro, Punggaloka Village, West Kendari District, Kendari.

The body of the deceased, whose full name is Riski Maulana Dwicahya, with the starting number 154, was prayed at the Kendari Grand Mosque at around 12.10 WITA and then the family and relatives escorted the deceased to the Punggolaka TPU.

The convoy of the deceased was escorted by the local traffic police to the Punggolaka Public Cemetery (TPU), Punggolaka Village, Puuwatu District, Kendari City, about 8.6 kilometers from the funeral home.

Both parents, and the deceased's wife and children accompanied their loved ones to their final resting place at the Punggolaka TPU.

Families and relatives of the deceased who escorted the body to its final resting place were seen hundreds of meters away. They use two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

Rider Kuntet Khalisa died due to an accident while participating in the road race championship which was held at the La Ode Pandu Sports Facility (SOR) circuit, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Sunday.

The racer with starting number 154 crashed into a tree in the fourth round of the final match of the Laode Muhammad Aswin (LMA) Cup 1 Road Race Open Championship 2022 at the SOR La Ode Pandu circuit, Muna.

The Kuntet who was defending the ASR VMK RT team performing in the 150 cc MP1 class, had an accident crashing into a tree around the circuit at around 15.20 WITA.

After the incident, Kuntet who defended the ASR VMK RT team was then rushed to the LM Baharuddin Hospital for medical assistance. However, his life could not be saved anymore.

The rider from Kendari City was declared dead at the LM Baharuddin Hospital after experiencing a single accident in the championship.
