JAKARTA - AC Milan legend, Clarence Seedorf decided to convert to Islam. After becoming a convert, Seedorf immediately conveyed a message of love to the world.
The news about Seedorf's decision to convert to Islam is known from his personal Instagram upload. In an upload to the @clarenceseedorf account, the former Real Madrid player who is also the former Dutch national team uploaded a photo with his wife, Sophia Makramati.
Accompanying the upload, first of all Seedorf expressed his gratitude and feelings of pleasure to be able to embrace Islam. Do not forget he also delivered a special greeting to his wife.
“Special thanks for all the kind words that came during my celebration of joining the Muslim family,” said Seedorf.
"I am very happy and excited to be joining all the brothers and sisters around the world, especially my dear Sophia who has taught me more about the meaning of Islam," said Seedorf.
After conveying his gratitude, the player who had coached AC Milan and the Cameroon national team also did not forget to give a message of love in the last sentence of his announcement. He also emphasized that he would not change his name even though he had become a convert.
"I didn't change my name and will continue to carry my name as my parents gave me, Clarence Seedorf!" Seedorf said.
"I send all my love to everyone in the world," Seedorf concluded.
Despite the good news he shared, Seedorf himself is currently unemployed after he last coached the Cameroon national team in July 2019.
With the Cameroon national team, Seedorf had the opportunity to escort the team in 19 matches with a report card of 4 wins and 5 draws. Seedorf's longest coaching report card was when he was in charge of Milan with 22 games, but the results were not very encouraging after 11 wins and 9 defeats.
