53 Tons Of Cooking Oil From The Raid On CV Aneka Jaya Is Now For Sale By The Central Sulawesi Regional Police
JAKARTA - The Central Sulawesi Food Task Force (Satgas) redistributed 53 tons of cooking oil from the raid conducted on CV Aneka Jaya in Palu City.
According to the Head of the Central Sulawesi Food Task Force who is also the Dirreskrimsus Polda Central Sulawesi, Kombes Pol Ilham Saparona, the thousands of liters of cooking oil were directly distributed to consumers with the concept of market operation, as well as through coordination with the local Bulog Public Corporation.
"We confiscate these results for later distribution or resale to the public, partly we will confiscate as evidence to continue the legal process related to the alleged hoarding," said Pol Kombes Pol Ilham Saparona as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 4.
The legal process will also continue against CV Aneka Jaya. Until now, the police have investigated the owner of the company and a number of employees.
This was done, because it was suspected that CV Aneka Jaya had violated Law Number 7 of 2014 which regulates Trade.
Head of the Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag) of Central Sulawesi, Richard Arnaldo, explained that the actions taken against CV Aneka Jaya had been preceded by persuasive steps.
"We have done this, and CV Aneka Jaya did not come, and they were the only ones who did not submit their stock data," said Richard.
Richard explained that the re-distribution of confiscated cooking oil technically started today, a number of warehouse parties had confirmed their readiness to accommodate tens of thousands of liters of cooking oil.
He estimates that 53 tons of cooking oil will run out in the next 3 to 4 days. This is based on the high market demand to date.
Meanwhile, the distribution to the districts, the food task force and the provincial Industry and Trade Agency have coordinated with the Central Sulawesi Bulog Perum.
"Sales are back to normal prices according to the highest retail price or HET," he said.
Meanwhile, Operations Manager of CV Aneka Jaya, Arnold explained that his party's storage of cooking oil for a long time is related to inappropriate market selling prices and will result in losses.
"We bought it from the factory at a price of Rp. 18,500, while in the market it had to be sold at a HET price of Rp. 14,000," he explained.
He admitted that he just received a notification letter from the factory regarding the compensation to be borne, Wednesday (2/3).
Therefore, in the period from October 2021 to March 2022, his party chose not to circulate it to the market, but chose to sell it by waiting.
"There are also those who come directly to the early hours and we continue to sell them, but indeed we say the price is Rp. 19,500 because from the factory the price we get is still above or not yet subsidized," concluded Arnold.
