East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor Guarantees Not To Remove Honorary Staff
SAMARINDA - The Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor, has guaranteed that contract or honorary workers (non-PNS) in the local provincial government will not be removed as planned by the central government.
"I will keep the honorary employees in my way, of course well. East Kalimantan will not delete it," said Governor Isran Noor, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.
Isran Noor advised all non-civil servants or honorary staff in East Kalimantan not to worry or worry about being dismissed, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government will handle it in good ways.
"We will maintain non-civil servants or honorary workers in East Kalimantan, and will not remove them as planned by the central government," said Isran Noor.
The confirmation of the East Kalimantan Governor to maintain honorary staff in East Kalimantan, after listening to the report of the Head of the East Kalimantan Satpol PP Gede Yusa that the number of members of the East Kalimantan Satpol PP is 174 people, consisting of 72 civil servants and 102 non-civil servants.
Based on information from the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB), after the honorarium is removed, the status of government employees starting in 2023 will only be of two types, namely Civil Servants (PNS) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).
These two statuses will later be unified and referred to as the State Civil Apparatus.
The abolition of honorariums stems from the central government's concern for the regions that continue to recruit honorary workers.
Whereas according to Article 88 of Government Regulation Number 48/2005 concerning Appointment of Honorary Personnel to Candidates for Civil Servants, government agencies prohibit the recruitment of honorary staff.
The provisions for the abolition of honorariums are also stated in Article 96 of Government Regulation Number 49/2018 concerning First Aid Management.
