Kompolnas 'Sidak' Mandalika Circuit, Ensure Maximum Security Pattern

JAKARTA - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) of the Republic of Indonesia has directly ensured the preparation for securing the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The goal is for the 2022 MotoGP international race to run safely and smoothly.

"We from Kompolnas conduct a survey or check the location in order to check the readiness of the Mandalika MotoGP security plan, next March," said RI Kompolnas team leader Pudji Hartanto Iskandar to reporters, Saturday, February 26.

From the results of the examination and the presentation given by the NTB Police, said Pudji, the preparations that had been made were maximal and good. He is quite sure that the international event will run safely.

"The security system has been prepared and in time, God willing, it will be safe. Of course it cannot be separated from the synergy with other stakeholders. Because this is the work of the Indonesian people, there needs to be synergy in the implementation of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP, including in terms of security," said Pudji.

Nevertheless, Pudji still reminded the police to remain vigilant and anticipate various kinds of potential problems that would occur. For example, the issue of ticket brokers and hotels.

In fact, the slightest problem that occurs must be addressed to be resolved. The goal is for the MotoGP event to run smoothly and lead to the fragrance of the name of Indonesia, especially NTB.

"In terms of security, the Police are ready to secure the event," said Pudji.

On the other hand, Pudji also highlighted the availability of accommodation, both hotels and transportation, which must be a shared concern to pay attention to. Then, the matter of re-paving the track that must be completed according to the target.

"Earlier I received a report from the Vice President of ITDC in which he said the location which is currently being built, two days before the event was ready, such as asphalting, repairs and so on," he said.

It is hoped that no one will take advantage of this situation by making noise and causing bad news.

"I hope that there is no sectoral ego, each stakeholder must unite and synergize so that everything that already exists is completed on time. bracelets, security, insulation, those are things that need to be socialized," he explained.

On the same occasion, the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Artanto said, his party together with the Resort Police and their staff will maximize socialization to the public and MotoGP spectators.

"We will maximize socialization related to traffic engineering for spectators to the circuit, use of drones, ticket/wristband exchange locations, parking locations and so on so that people understand before coming to the Mandalika Circuit, and from the security aspect, we add Police personnel and equipment, carry out logistical escorts. MotoGP, and conducting a simulation of water security by the Polairud Polda NTB together with maritime stakeholders," he said.
