KPK Explores Receipt Of Ex-Mayor Of Banjar's Money Through Chairman Of DPD PKB And PAN Banjar City

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining the chairman of the DPD of the Banjar City National Justice Party (PKB), Gun Gun Gunawan and the chairman of the DPD PAN Hunes Hermawan on Wednesday, February 23 yesterday.

From this examination, investigators studied several things, including the question of the flow of money received by the former Mayor of Banjar Herman Sutrisno.

"Located at the West Java Provincial BPKP Office, the investigation team has examined a number of witnesses for the suspect HS et al," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday, February 24.

In addition to examining the two witnesses, Ali said investigators were also examining a former member of the Banjar City DPRD from the PAN faction, Husin Munawar and a member of the Banjar City DPRD from the United Development Party (PPP) Faction, Mujamil.

"Witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, regarding the alleged flow of a sum of money received by suspect HS from several parties," he said.

In fact, the KPK also scheduled an examination of another witness who was a former member of the Banjar City DPRD from the PPP faction, Rosidin. However, he was absent from the investigator's summons.

"KPK reminds to comply with the summons of the investigator team on the agenda for the next examination," said Ali.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named the Mayor of Banjar City for the 2003-2008 and 2008-2013 periods, Herman Sutrisno, together with the Director of CV Prima, Rahmat Wardi, as suspects for alleged corruption in infrastructure work projects at the Banjar City Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas Office in 2008- 2013 and the alleged receipt of gratuities.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the case that ensnared the two people began with a public report, which was then carried out by the KPK to collect data and information.

For his actions, Rahmat Wardi is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter (a) or letter (b) or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.

Meanwhile, Herman Sutrisno is suspected of violating Article 12 letter (a) or letter (b) or Article 11 and Article 12B of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.
