Egy And Witan Duet Become Starters, FK Senica Falls From Sered In Own Cage

JAKARTA - Two young players from Indonesia, Egy Maulana Vikri and Witan Sulaeman are again trusted to appear as starters in the FK Senica match against Sered on Sunday, February 20.

However, in the match of week 21 of the Slovak League, luck was still not on the side of Egy and Witan. Because, despite appearing at home, FK Senica fell 1-2 to Sered.

Appearing at the OMS Arena Stadium, FK Senica actually controlled the game since the match started. However, Ricardo Cheu's team lacked concentration in the early minutes of the game.

As a result, Senica's carelessness gave Sered the opportunity to open the scoring in the seventh minute through Marin Ljubicic's goal.

After conceding one goal, Senica continued to press the opponent's defense. The opportunity was created in the 41st minute through Egy Maulana's hard kick from outside the penalty box, but the opportunity was dashed after being pushed over by goalkeeper Sered.

In the second round, Dewi Fortuna again sided with Sered. Because, in the 83rd minute, they managed to increase their advantage through Roko Jureskin which made the scoreboard change to 2-0 over Senica.

After trailing by two goals, Senica was finally able to reduce the lag through Petr Pavlik in the 90th minute. But the score of 1-2 lasted until the long whistle sounded and ended in defeat for Senica.

In this match, Egy and Witan both played for 69 minutes for FK Senica. But then the coach chose to replace Egy with Cyriaque Ngolou, while Witan was replaced by Dominik Duda.

Apart from the presence of Egy and Witan in that match, this defeat against Sered created an opportunity for Senica to finish in the top six or the Championship Group zone was closed.

On the other hand, Sered is currently in sixth place in the Slovak League standings and will be competing in the continued competition, namely the Championship Group.
