The Ministry Of Social Affairs Accompanies 4 Women From Sukabumi, Victims Of TIP In Papua
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs provides assistance to four women from Sukabumi Regency, West Java who are victims of the crime of trafficking in persons (TPPO) in Papua.
"Yes, we are still assisting, to provide assistance," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini in a written statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 19.
On the sidelines of his visit to the flood location of Sukabumi City, West Java, Risma could not explain further regarding the assistance to the victims of TIP.
He said that currently the Ministry of Social Affairs has handed over the investigation of the case to law enforcement officers.
"I do not dare to convey in detail, so that this legal investigation is not disturbed," he said.
Previously, the Sukabumi Police had succeeded in uncovering the criminal act of trafficking in persons (TPPO) whose victims were four young women from Sukabumi Regency, West Java, one of whom was even a minor.
The suspect, DR (37), a resident of Jayanti Village, Palabuhanratu District, Sukabumi Regency, which is a trafficking network in Papua, said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah.
The TIP case was uncovered thanks to the collaboration between the Sukabumi Police and the Paniai Police, Papua, who also arrested two suspects in the trafficking ring with the initials I and HK.
