Activities To Do To Support 6-11 Years Old Children Are Not Afraid Of Vaccines
Jakarta – As part of its support to help maintain the health of the younger generation in Indonesia, Nestlé Indonesia supports the accelerated COVID-19 vaccination program for children aged 6-11 years, in collaboration with the government, in this case the Office of the Presidential Staff of the Republic of Indonesia. Various supports were given, including with one of the brands, Nestlé MILO also gave its support by distributing four million MILO UHT products to 4,000 elementary schools in 50 cities throughout Indonesia. This support is also a form of the company's commitment to realizing healthy, active and strong Indonesian children, especially in the face of Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTM) activities that have begun to be implemented in schools.
The Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jend. TNI (Ret.) Dr. Moeldoko emphasized the importance of accelerating vaccination for children aged 6-11 years. Following the increase in cases of COVID-19 in children, Moeldoko said, "There needs to be collaboration between the government and the private sector to encourage the acceleration of vaccination for children aged 6-11 years. The Presidential Staff Office of the Republic of Indonesia has collaborated with the food and beverage company Nestlé, namely by holding mini games, health education, and distributing MILO products. I hope this collaboration can be a driving force for accelerating child vaccination, as well as a pilot for the future.”
President Director of PT Nestlé Indonesia, Ganesan Ampalavanar said, “Nestlé Indonesia appreciates the Office of the Presidential Staff of the Republic of Indonesia for providing us with the opportunity to participate in the success of the vaccination program for elementary school-aged children. This is also a form of our support to encourage the optimization of PTM Limited which has been held in schools. We hope that through the activities and products we provide, we can help the government in creating a cheerful atmosphere in the implementation of the vaccination program in schools.”
On the same occasion, the Business Executive Officer of the Beverages Business Unit of PT Nestlé Indonesia, Mirna Tri Handayani also said, “The support that the company provides is additional in order to motivate children to be more enthusiastic in participating in vaccinations at school. In addition to products, we also present a variety of interesting activities in 1,000 elementary schools ranging from light exercise before vaccination for children to stay calm when vaccinated and nutrition classes for parents who accompany children. Hopefully with the spirit of mutual cooperation with the government this can accelerate the creation of group immunity and we are grateful to have been given the opportunity to participate in this effort.”
In addition to supporting the government's vaccination program, the company also consistently presents various sports under the umbrella of the MILO ACTIV Indonesia movement, such as MILO Indonesia Virtual Race, MILO Football Clinic, to MILO College WhatsApp (Kulwap). "Through the various activities that we present, we hope to help realize children aged 5-15 years who are active and healthy physically, cognitively, and socially/character, as well as teach children to love sports from an early age.
