BRI Millennial Investors Increase By 47 Percent, Financial Inclusion Expands

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) reported that there was an increase in the number of millennial investors by 47 percent throughout 2021 for the Government Securities (SBN) segment.

BRI's Director of Consumer Business Handayani said that the book was included in the company's wealth management business category.

"The demographics of BRI wealth management customers for the millennial and Gen Z categories have experienced significant growth from year to year," he said in a press statement, Friday, February 18.

In Handayani's explanation, the number of customers managed by BRI wealth management as a whole also grew by more than 21 percent year-on-year (yoy) for the January 2022 performance. Along with the growth in the number of customers, assets under management also increased by 12 percent yoy.

Meanwhile, the total sales of SBN during the 2021 period reached Rp. 10.91 trillion. That figure grew 21 percent and the growth in the number of investors rose 31 percent.

"The company is committed to continuing to add services, especially to High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) customers whose number has reached more than 1,000 customers. In addition, we will also improve BRI Private as a superior service," he said.

As an appreciation to HNWI customers who are part of priority customers, the company is said to provide a BRI Private Signature Outlet for customers who need a special room with international-class services with aesthetic nuances made by Indonesian artists.

“The presence of the BRI Private Signature Outlet is presented to answer the needs of customers who continue to grow and develop. BRI Private customers will get the best service and new experiences.
