TANJUNGPINANG - The Tanjungpinang Police have secured the official car of the Deputy Mayor of Tanjungpinang Endang Abdullah, who is suspected of being involved in a traffic accident on Jalan DI Panjaitan Kilometer 7, East Tanjungpinang District, Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province.
The black official car with the police number BP 1302 XX is currently parked at the Tanjungpinang Police Station.
"The deputy mayor's official car is suspected to be involved, and we have secured it at the Resort Police for investigation," said Tanjungpinang Police Traffic Unit Head AKP I Made Putra Suargana, as reported by Antara, Friday, February 18.
The police have also conducted an investigation at the crime scene to complete the tools and evidence for investigating the case, last Thursday, February 17. "Investigations are ongoing, a number of witnesses have been examined," he added.
In an accident on Wednesday, February 9, a motorcycle rider with the initials ZF, who was a resident of Kelong, Bintan Pesisir District, Bintan, died. The victim suffered head injuries.
