Squeezing The Victims With Dating Mode, 3 Women In Medan Arrested, Victims Reported Because Women's Faces Are Not The Same As Applications
MEDAN - The police have arrested 3 female extortionists with a dating mode. The three women were arrested on the basis of 2 victim reports.
The head of the Medan Baru Police, Kompol Teuku Fathir Mustafa said the three women had the initials SI (22), L (27) and B (21).
For perpetrators SI and L, Kompol Fathir said the arrests of the two began when the victim opened a dating application and had contact with a woman who claimed to be named SI.
Then there was an agreement for a date with a fee of Rp. 250 thousand. Then the victim met the SI perpetrator in a boarding house located on Jalan Sei Halian, Medan Petisah District,
"At the meeting, the SI perpetrator asked for a service fee of IDR 2.5 million, but the victim refused. Then suddenly the SI perpetrator hit the victim's head once with his right hand," said Commissioner Fathir when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, February 15.
Then, he said, 2 friends of the SI perpetrator, the initials L and H, entered the boarding room and immediately beat the victim repeatedly in the eye, head, right cheek and clawed at the bottom of the left eye. After that, the SI perpetrator took the victim's wallet and the victim's money as much as Rp. 350 thousand.
"The victim objected to this incident and made a report to the police. Furthermore, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Medan Baru Police immediately went to the field and secured the perpetrators and evidence," he said.
For perpetrator B, Kompol Fathir said that the perpetrator was reported as a victim because he felt cheated because his face did not match the one shown in the photo of the dating application.
"At first the victim opened a dating application and had a relationship with B and both agreed to have sex at a rate of Rp. 300 thousand. Then the victim met with B at one of the inns, Sunday, February 12," he explained.
Arriving at the inn, the victim did not go on a date because the photo posted by the perpetrator in the application did not match the original.
"Then the perpetrator locked the door and threatened to scream if the victim didn't want to pay. Then the perpetrator took the victim's cellphone and IDR 300 thousand in cash from the victim's wallet," he said.
For this incident, it was the victim who objected and made a complaint report. The police later arrested the perpetrator.
Because of their actions, the three women were charged with Article 368 of the Criminal Code which carries a 9 year sentence.
