JAKARTA - Khomaidi alias Gus Humaidi, the maker of a miniature Garuda Indonesia plane that went viral on social media, finally caught the attention of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir. Some time ago, Erick had expressed his intention to meet Humaidi.
Erick finally met Humaidi at the Garuda Indonesia Hangar at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, today. During the meeting, Erick gave his appreciation to Humaidi. Erick assessed that Humaidi reflected the figure of a young person who was proud of Garuda Indonesia.
"This is part of our appreciation that the nation's children are proud of Garuda," said Erick at the Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) AeroAsia, Garuda Indonesia Hangar, Soetta Airport, Tangerang, Tuesday, February 15.
Erick welcomed Humaidi aboard the Garuda Indonesia PK-GIK Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft. In addition, Erick also took the students from Madura on a tour of the rooms on the plane. The two of them also had time to see the cockpit to the plane cabin.
"We have to dare to dream, I hope, this has become a reality in the cockpit of a Garuda plane. We pray God willing, the business will be better," said Erick.
On this occasion, Erick handed over a miniature Garuda Indonesia plane and a jacket to Humaidi. Not until there, Humaidi also received a business capital assistance of Rp. 50 million.
Meanwhile, Humaidi thanked Erick for this meeting. Humaidi said this momentum would be unforgettable for the rest of his life.
"Thank you, this is an honor for me and an unforgettable honor for me for the rest of my life," said Humaidi.
Previously reported, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir praised Agus Humaidi's expertise in making miniature Garuda Indonesia aircraft. In the video that Erick uploaded on his Instagram, the plane can be flown like a real plane.

Erick admitted that he wanted to meet with Agus to see firsthand the miniature of the white-blue airplane. Erick hopes that the plane can also be exhibited to state guests at the G20 event.
"I wonder how I can contact Mas Agus to be able to see the plane? Perhaps state guests for the G20 later can also be greeted with pride by this aircraft display," said Erick.
To be able to meet Agus, Erick also asked his followers or followers on his social media to tell Instagram the owner of the plane.
"Mas Agus, don't you have an IG account? If anyone knows, tag me," wrote Erick.
